The swimming pool was phenomenal & check in was smooth. The parking lot behind the building had strangers out all night. Although there was police onsite, I knew it was because possible car damage/thief, and criminal activity. It was as if this hotel was misplaced. Upon entering my room, the dead bolt lock did not work nor wound the connecting room door push closed all the way. Worst nightmare came true. I reported & police responded immediately to my room. He quickly realized he couldn't lock the door either. He filmed the process. However, the solution for a female without an adequate door lock was to wait until morning to have the door fixed. I sat up all night in fear. I asked the next morning & maintenence came to repair. The carpet was soaked from the refrigerator & the room smelled molded. The thermostat was reading low battery & it would not allow for adjustments. Needless to say no sleep Friday night. During the day it was quiet. Not sure if there are cameras on the pool area, yet there needs to be for safety reasons. At check out, I asked for a printed receipt & informed the front desk I was going to put my bags in the car & return. My receipt was laid out on the counter & I'm grateful I grabbed it. The receptionist nervously came to ask if I actually picked it up. I informed him that I did. He knew he should not have done that. I booked through Expedia & knew they would not allow me to relocate.
