My experience at the H Hotel in Korea Town was pleasant. With the price I paid, I really can’t complain too much. From the condition of the hotel, onsite paid parking to the staff, the experience was wonderful, except the noise.
I could deal with the noise from the street, but I could not deal with the noises coming from upstairs occupants stomping around or people from the next room going in and out, slamming the door at 3am in the morning.
Why am I pointing this out, they probably did install noise prevention padding when they installed their hard wood floor (I can tell that it probably wasn’t installed properly or used quality material). As far as noise from the next room, the walls are paper thin, I could hear pretty much everything.
So, it was a sleepless night.
On the plus side, I was able to catch up with my emails while being disturbed from the noise in 3am in the morning.
Why didn’t I mention this to the front desk? They probably can’t do anything either.
Ear plugs and noise canceling headphones are required if you are planning to stay here.
