Skiing holiday

A skiing holiday in Garmisch. I’ve stayed here several times before and it’s always been excellent. Friendly staff, clean and large rooms, great breakfast and spa.

Wonderful stay in the German alps

The room is very comfortable, breakfast is excellent, staff is very helpful. The Garmisch area is magnificent place to visit. This hotel is actually much nicer than the cover photo of the pool.

I love this hotel

This is such a nice hotel! I came back for my second stay here and was not disappointed. Clean and modern rooms with a lot of space, confortable beds, excellent breakfast buffet, nice pool and beautiful surroundings. I will come here again.

The heating system is very warm. The staff is nice and the room is big. There are lots of restaurants nearby but due to Christmas holidays, only a few restaurants open. The breakfast is nice as well.

Nice hotel near fantastic nature spots

Mercure hotels athmosphere was nice and calm and it's location is convenient - next door is grocery store, gas station and idyllic street with restaurants and boutiques. Train station is within little longer walking distance. Hotel has spacious parking lot from where all local nature spots are easily reached by car. Especially recommending Zugspitze mountain and Eibsee lake (we visited in summertime)! Hotel breakfast was vast and versitile and hotel has sauna and heated indoor swimming pool which kids liked. Our family hotel room was basic, clean and suited our purposes well as a sleeping quaters after days spent outdoors.

Hotel and facilities were good. Strange food option in the restaurant night one, super expensive (for what it was). A buffet that couldn’t really be put together as a meal with saucer size plates. Very strange.

The property is located near the old shopping district which we discovered on our last evening at the hotel. If you’re planning on dining at the hotel restaurant, schedule your table in the morning as the restaurant takes reservations and you will likely be turned away if you just show up for dinner without one. The restaurant food was excellent and served within 10 to 15 minutes. The rooms are a bit small, but provided everything we expected. There’s plenty of parking at the hotel and the hotel provided a free bus pass for our stay.

Rather high price. Receptionist apparently not able to indicate location of the hotel on the town map, complete wrong directions. Shampoo and Shower gel empty. Bar is unattended, guests waiting forever and have to walk into the kitchen to call someone. Hotel has an excellent location, breakfast is good. Beds not very comfortable

Old, beat up. Breakfast was terrible - stale bread, employees using their bare hands to arrange food on the plates, cheap meats. Nice coffee machine, though. If it is hot, ask for a fan. They have a few available but you have to ask - they won't volunteer it.

Angestaubter Charme trifft tolles Personal

Auf der Anreise zum Urlaub eine Nacht zugebracht. Zwei Zimmer gebucht. Aufbettung ohne Problem. Zimmer selbst fantastisch. Technik (Schliessmechanismus) etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Personal war immer freundlich und erreichbar und hat Zugang zu den Zimmern realisiert. FrĂŒhstĂŒck vielfĂ€ltig und lecker.

Die Dame beim Check-In war hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer-Ausstattung entsprach eher einer mittelmĂ€ĂŸigen Pension als einem Vier-Sterne-Hotel. Die WĂ€nde waren verschmutzt, die Holzmöbel verbraucht, stark abgenutzt, teilweise unsachgemĂ€ĂŸ montiert oder beschĂ€digt. Der Verdunkelungsvorhang hatte keine ausreichende LĂ€nge, so dass immer ein Spalt von ca. 10 Zentimeter offen blieb. BezĂŒglich der Badausstattung mit zu hohem Duscheinstieg setzte sich der schlechte Zustand fort. Die TĂŒrklinke zum Bad, die Handtuchhalter sowie der Brausekopfhalter waren unzureichend befestigt, der Haarföhn in seiner Leistung unbrauchbar. Ein LĂŒften des Zimmers war praktisch nicht möglich. Ein Fenstergriff fehlte und nach dem Öffnen der beiden anderen Kippfenster zog stĂ€ndig Zigarettenrauch ins Zimmer. Ein Einschlafen war bis weit nach Mitternacht nicht möglich, da unter dem Zimmer stĂ€ndig lautstarke GĂ€ste verweilten. Weitere störende GerĂ€uschquellen waren der Aufzug, eine laute Wasser-, bzw. Heizungsanlage. Ruhe zu finden war somit kaum möglich. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war schlecht organisiert. Tische wurden nicht, zu spĂ€t oder erst auf Nachfrage abgerĂ€umt und neu eingedeckt. Das Gleiche setzte sich am Buffet fort. Tassen, Besteck, Nachschub an Lebensmitteln kamen nur sehr zögerlich oder erst auf Bitten der GĂ€ste. Das Buffet insgesamt hinterließ einen unvollstĂ€ndigen, ungepflegten und teilweise verschmutzten und unappetitlichen Eindruck. Eine schriftliche Beschwerde an das Hotel blieb unbeantwortet.
