This is a very good hotel in Edinburgh with good customer service and dining service for travelling. The parking space is good enough and the breakfast is delicious for us.

La chambre était minuscule, mais possédait une petite terrasse, ce qui était très agréable. La propreté était correct, mais quand on y regardait bien, beaucoup de poussière et de toiles d’araignées. La porte de la douche faisait un bruit d’enfer et ne cessait d’ouvrir. Pour finir, le petit déjeuner était le plus triste des 7 hôtels que nous avons visités durant notre séjour. Sinon, l’emplacement avec la ligne de bus direct était super.

Good location. A little scruffy and dated in places (decor) but hotel perfect for needs. Welcoming, clean and tidy. Nice breakfast. Easy parking. Not walkable to Edinburgh centre but easy 40 minute bus ride. Bus stop is just outside hotel.

Unique hotel with old world charm. Friendly staff...our only issue was the broken heater in our bathroom that was on both days and scalding hot which radiated into the room.beautiful view from the terrace not so much from our room which faced the garbage bins...but overall a pleasant enough stay.

We are extremely dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel. At the end of our tour through Scotland, we stayed here. unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Firstly, three glasses we had collected from various distilleries during our trip disappeared from our room. The hotel initially conducted an internal investigation to try and determine what might have happened to them, for which we were grateful. However, since then, we have never received any follow-up, and our requests for updates on the status of the investigation are now being ignored. While the glasses were not of great monetary value, they held significant sentimental value to us, as we will likely never visit those distilleries again. Secondly, we had booked two rooms, yet they were placed as far apart from each other as possible within the hotel, which was very inconvenient. To make matters worse, one of the two rooms had no hot water on the first day of our stay. Overall, this stay was far below our expectations and left us with a very negative impression of both the hotel and its customer service.

Staying on the 3rd floor really means going up 5-6 flights of stairs from bus stop. It’s an opening in the bushes with a 20 feet of stairs. No lift makes this property difficult to navigate with luggage. The upper floors were very hot from sun. Poor ventilation and lack of cooling except opening windows approximately 2 inches. It is very unique property but these drawbacks need to be considered.
