We had high hopes for this hotel as it was highly rated but soon we’re very disappointed. Our room was very small (2 queen beds) but pictures on the website made it look like there would be a couch. There was not. The air conditioning barely worked…we had it set to 60 degrees the entire time and the room hardly cooled off. Our mini fridge either froze our drinks or didn’t cool at all. The bathroom door wouldn’t open all the way and the shower squealed loudly. The icing on the cake however was that we never had a room cleaning done our entire stay, even though it was requested each day. We were there for 4 nights and had to ask for clean towels every single day and request our garbage finally be removed. I was told rooms only get cleaned every 3 days unless requested, but when I said we had requested a clean each day it was shrugged off. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to an emergency back home to which we were advised to contact Expedia (who were marvellous by the way). Expedia tried to call the hotel and were told they were too busy to deal with them. It took Expedia 3 days to get through to the hotel only for them to say no to refunding us the one night. The pool was cloudy/dirty and cold and the hot tub was super hot and had sand built up on the bottom. The staff was friendly for the most part. Would I recommend this hotel? Unfortunately not.

The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well appointed. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning system worked well. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The only downside was the breakfast in the morning, as it was very crowded and no fresh fruit or whole grain offerings for cereal.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience here. As we walked in I noticed how dusty and dirty the entire lobby area was right up to the breakfast area. I asked the front desk for a room that wasn’t too near the elevator as the previous 2 hotel rooms we stayed at (in different cities) kept me up all night long with the people coming and going and the elevator noise. He insisted that the room wasn’t too near the elevator and we would t hear the noise. Well, the room was 302 and it was the first room you see from the elevator just around the corner about 8 feet from the doors. I didn’t ask for a change as it had already been a long day with my 3 young children. My kids went for a swim and said there was a lot of hair floating in the pool, I also noticed. The pool shower didn’t seem to have any hot water. I’m the morning the breakfast area was extremely busy (at 8am) which hasn’t been a problem at our other BW hotels. The tables that were available were dirty. They ran out of plates and metal utensils. Unfortunately I can’t recommend to our friends from BC who will be visiting the week of July 20, 2025.

It was ok. Room wasnt ready at 4pm for our check-in. Only the bare minimum coffee cups offered (2 go cups for 2 people, 2 nights...) and the staff seemed confused about our keys (we returned after a day out on our second night and mentioned that our keys weren't letting us into the side door - we knew it was because our keys were no longer active, but we were told something about a deadbolt - had to go to our room, try both keys, and then return to the desk to get them reactivated.) It was clean. Lots of parking. Nice and close to food, gas, and alcohol. Not too far of a walk from downtown. Did not try the pool or gym, but they seemed popular at a glance. "Salon Selectives" body products in the bathrooms, not great for people with skin sensitivities, but it was there. Good for what we expected for a last-minute trip to Drumheller on a long weekend.
