Excellent cottage! I would recommend more upkeep for the exterior. Flowers, small trees and 2 chairs for the exterior. The sunset is marvellous so we could watch the sunset using the chairs. In time, I suppose you we’ll pave the drive way.

Love these cute little cabins
Perfect place to stay in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, easy to get to, great location, very safe. The people that work there are very kind and will help you with anything you need. I'd definitely stay here again.

Cabin good, but strong chemical odor in bathroom.
The cabin was good, however, there was an overwhelming chemical smell from the bathroom, possibly from the linoleum flooring and/or from a cleaning product. The smell was only bearable by keeping the bathroom door closed and the windows open at all times.

We had some concerns, as the description on the web site indicated that there was an "ocean view". Our unit was actually across the street from the sea, and there were other houses blocking the view. Having said that, the staff were very helpful, giving us information about local events, and the facilities, including the kitchen areas, were very clean and well outfitted

We enjoyed our stay, but from the picture we thought we'd be on the water side of the road. The cabin was great & we could sort of see the water from across the street.

Water view
The cabins are new and spartan. There are no comfortable chairs. It sleeps four, but the space is limited. There is a dusty driveway right up to the doorway. However, the cabins have a good water view, and they are located near some wonderful hiking trails to the north. The beds were comfortable enough.

A night on the Calbot Trail
The photo on hotels.com is a bit misleading as that's the house across the road from the cabins. Yes they have a nice kitchenette in the main room but have a sign to not cook fish/seafood inside - please use the outdoor grill. (Probably a good idea to keep the newly remodeled cabins smelling nice.) The cabins aren't within walking distance to restaurants. But, the cabins are only about half an hour from The Skyline Trail so we were able to do the trail before many others arrived.

Newly renovated but in an unattractive location.
Basic looking cabins were lined up in a gravel lot with potholes and standing water. The online booking didn't include photos of the cabins, just a house next to the ocean. The cabins are across the street from houses on the ocean, but the ocean wasn't really noticeable and I can't recall if it is even visible from the cabins. The inside of our cabin had been renovated recently with new tile, paint, door facings, kitchen, and bathroom, and they all were very clean. The beds were clean and comfortable with clean polyester "motel print" bedspreads. Restaurants in the area are very basic touting local seafood. Cocktails can be purchased with meals, but package alcohol sales cease at 6PM, so be prepared. See the beautiful cathedral (or basilica) in Cheticamp.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Cape Breton
Die kleinen Häuser sehen recht neu aus / das Gelände drum herum wirkt irgendwie unfertig. Vor dem Haus mag man jedenfalls nicht sitzen, zumal der Meerblick nur eingeschränkt ist (andere Straßenseite). Der Ort ist aber ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Cape Breton National Park und es gibt viele schöne Restaurants. Unsere Empfehlung: "Happy Clam" (Frühstück, Mittag, Abend - beste Seafood Chowder auf unseren gesamten Reise) und "Doryman" (bei Live Musik).

We went to cheticamp to hike when we got back and ready to check in we had to wait and call for someone.fine it's off season but the problem was when we opened our cottage it was freezing no heat on at all.it took 30 min to heat up we couldn't even have a shower it was so cold.they could have turn the heat on at least 15 before guest arrive.also all the cookware sticks.sucks big time.bad use of space in kitchen area.i wouldn't stay again.and no room for a family.really small.

Nicely redone cabin, right on Cabot Trail, easy walk to rug hooking museum, everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen is very cramped, however, and the knives are dull, even for prepping salad. We were in the cabin farthest from the office, and the wifi was annoyingly pathetic. Could do with more bedside lamps as well.

Great location for touring the Cabot Trail!
We had one of the one bedroom chalets and it was Very comfortable. The chalets have all been recently updated and are modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable as well. The owner was friendly and helpful.

Clean fresh hotel.
We were very impressed with our stay, the staff was great and the room and amenities were better than we expected. The whole experience was fantastic. Will highly recommend it to our friends or anybody.

it has a BBQ
it was a nice spot but no restaurants nearby. glad I knew about the BBQ because we arrived with our dinner to cook. cabin was recently renovated--everything new so the cabin no longer is blue like the picture. only complaint was the bathroom was small with no counter space.
