One night to see the Taj Mahal
We loved the location of this hotel. We could walk to the West Gate for getting into the Taj Mahal. You can see the Taj from their rooftop restaurant too. The masala tea was amazing, and the cheese and onion omelette was fantastic.

Google mapに住所を打ち込むと異なる場所が示されるので注意が必要です。MAYAレストランの隣のホテルになります。 部屋は古いもののタージマハルが直接見えることやアメニティが充実していることなど良かったです。しかし、お湯が出ないのと、1月の冬場はものすごく部屋が寒く、毛布もありませんでした。屋上のレストランで出たカレーは旅行客にあわせてスパイスの量を調節してくれたりもします。ここのバターチキンカレーがすごくおいしかったです。ただ、クレジットが使えるといわれて利用したのに実際は使えず、現地でキャッシングする羽目になったりと迷惑もこうむりました。また、朝ごはんの提供はいつでもいいよと言われたので、6時を希望しましたが、実際には誰も従業員は起きていませんでした。早く出たかったのであまり期待はしていませんでしたが、少し残念でした。

Good Location Is The Only Positive
If you choose to visit the Taj Mahal then this hotel is one of the closest you'll find. It's about a 700m walk to the entrance. It's on a main road, check in was quick and efficient. We paid extra for a Taj Mahal view room. The room wasn't easy to find in the dark and a hotel worker we asked for guidance from wanted a tip and we had to be quite forceful to get rid of him. The room was anything but a palace the name describes. It was old and dirty. The Taj view was just about visible from a pokey window but wasn't what we expected. The food at the rooftop restaurant was amazing but due to the time of year we were eaten alive by insects. The restaurant had no zappers or incense. The food was delicious and fresh prepared, in fact this is the only thing this hotel has going for it. We requested the bill and left a small tip, the waiter opened the bill wallet before we left and exclaimed very rudely, "oh so small!". Had I not been staying at the hotel I would have snatched the tip back and walked out. The wifi was up and down and very slow. The air conditioning unit in the room did not work and the evening temperatures were still 25+ degrees. We raised this with the hotel but nothing was done to fix it. Next morning, we were woken at 9am by porters, cleaners, more porters knocking on the door all wanting tips. Each barged into the room, despite us half clothed. I had to be quite forceful to get rid. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Cheap and cheerful in Agra
Unfortunate I had gone down with a bad case of Delhi Belly the day I arrived so nothing to do with this hotel but it put a downer on my experience of Agra.The hotel was fine and in an excellent location .From the roof terrace you had a good view of the taj and the red fort.as I was not eating much I cannot comment on the food but the room was comfortable. The owner and staff were great feeding me curd and banana. Cheap and cheerful hotel

Decent value, but may not get wifi or hot water
Positive: Let me check in early. Negatives: Wifi didn't work in the room; had to go outside the room to get a weak signal, or down a flight to a patio. Hot water didn't work either. No tank in the bathroom. Was later told that I could've called down to the front desk about it, but not sure if that would've worked. Overall, it was good for the money, but I'm sure some other places for just a small amount more would've been better.

Close to the Taj Mahal
The place is very close to the gate to Taj Mahal, and the staff is very kind and helpful, but I it is very far from being a 3start hotel. I am happy that we arrived at 1 am and left at 6 am, so basically spent only 5 hours there. The wall are dirty and the bathroom...a shower with no shower cabin just with a bucket in a small room with toilet and washbasin, so I don't know how we should have used it, without watering everything there (making it impossible to use the toilet after) The room was extremely cold, we asked for heating and the guy showed on the blanket... We were so cold that we skipped the shower and drank some alcohol (thanks god, we brought some with us) and tried to sleep a couple of hours before we went to Taj Mahal. We were freezing during the night. We didn't get any wifi code, so we don't have experience of their internet connection. There is no problem with such kind of accommodation, but it is definitely not a 3- star one. I would suggest only for those who would spend a few hours there before the opening of Taj mahal.
