This is located in an older urban neighborhood. We wanted to be close to person we were visiting. We chose the "economy room", so it was nothing fancy, but clean with bed and bath. Very nice breakfast. Owner and staff very nice. Would stay again.

This place doesn't deserve the rating given. It deserves less!! It was deplorable. We saw NO WHERE in the info that it's a shared space for 1. The parking in the courtyard is tight to say the least. The grounds outside is terribly unkempt overgrown full of debris and looks like a storm ravaged the area months ago. Smelled of mildew and mold. Kitchen and stuff in cabinets were filthy along with dirty dishes in the sink and trash stacking up in trash cans. The terrace was rickety dry rotted and unsafe. The room was small. If the bed was supposed to be a queen it was on the small side more like a full. We were supposed to have a standard king. The bed looked like someone just rolled out of it pulling the sheets back. Something in the air of the room made us cough and sneeze. The bathroom was dirty. The vents cacked with dirt. Shoe prints of what looked to be a size 8 or 9 mens wide shoe printed all over the floor. It looked like the upstairs flooded. They did some quick patch word with products that didn't match with what was there and didn't know how to use apparently cuz it was all lopsided. Surprisingly the shower looked fairly clean. It would've been nice if the towels and bedding were as well. The final straw was the dead cockroach under the bathroom sink. Needless to say we never unloaded our gear to stay there. We tried to find anything nice to say about it. The shared common living area was cool looking for the most part. The owner accused us of being unappreciative

We did not stay at the property, there was one lock on the door which made us feel unsafe. The comforter on the bed had several stains on it. We were to share a common area with other people. It felt like a dorm room. It felt musty which was causing me to wheeze and my daughter to cough. The bathroom, though, was very clean.

The heart of Houston
We loved meeting people at the B&B and the breakfast was fantastic! I also loved being at the center of Houston which was within walking distance of museums and galleries. Our room was small and certainly adequate, but not exactly what I expected. There is no outside window, but a door with a glass pane provides outside light. Service is good. When we had problems with the internet (slow) and TV (confusing) someone came to help right away. Parking was off-street, but the parking shelter erected had obstacles stored there and we couldn't get the car completely in. It was a little hazardous to walk through that area in the night. I would stay here again, but would look at other rooms. Since most rooms are on higher floors, I also wouldn't pack a lot to keep from lugging suitcases up and down flights of stairs. The main reason I'd stay here is the breakfast and meeting interesting people.

Location is everything
The B&B is incredibly convenient to the Montrose neighborhood. We were in a very spacious room with one of the most comfy beds ever. Lots of stairs, so not recommended for anyone with stairs issues. Good parking on site. No issues with breakfast except for the last day when we were told to microwave the cold coffee in the urn. But I understand that the owners had a New Years' Party the night before, so it's whatever.

Cute and Convenient
Lisa was very welcoming and recommended some very cool spots for us to check out! The B&B is located in a cool LGBTQ neighborhood and we loved that vibe! It wasn't bad for our 1st B&B experience. The only complaints I have are no control of the thermostat (we like it cold and it was 73-75 degrees in there) and limited parking. We only saw spots for 4 vehicles. If there were more options, we were unaware.
